Found elsewhere in the world
Everything about Teeter and the Society that we found outside its own sites: his television interview, letters and essays, the tribe.net community, the successor project Ambrosia House, editions and translations of his book, citations and the sources he used. Each with a short description and a link to where it lives.

- «The Sacred Secret with Don Teeter» — Austin Access Television, «Enlightenment vs Enfrightenment», 2003-12-05A 57-minute TV interview with Teeter on the Austin Access Television cable channel (topic «Natural Magic: Recreating the Grail»: the history of Amanita muscaria, health benefits, Santa as a mushroom, soma). The only audiovisual recording of Teeter himself found so far. 94 views as of 2026. In the comments, the ESRSHOW channel says it had long searched for this recording.
- «Don Teeter's Letter to Louisiana» — Teeter's letter to the Governor of Louisiana (tribe.net thread)The full text of Teeter's open letter to the Governor of Louisiana against a ban on Amanita muscaria, citing the First Amendment; he calls himself the author of three books. A key biographical fact: «I founded the Ambrosia Society in 2003». It also mentions LCCN 2001118188 for «The Sacred Secret». This text is not in the site's local archive.
- Entheogen.com (Edot), «An new take on amanita growth.» p.19: «A Message from Don Teeter: The Soma Question»An early (September 2007) version of Teeter's essay «The Soma Question», which he himself allowed to be shared on forums. It is shorter than the later version in the site's research/resurrection section — it lacks, for example, the paragraph on the smell of dried fleece. It ends with a list of Rigveda references.
- Internet Archive — «Amanita Muscarita [Herb Of Immortality].pdf (PDFy mirror)», 131-page versionA different PDF version: 131 pages, 6,568,749 bytes (the known copy has 134 pages and 7,154,204 bytes). Same 28-chapter contents, but the OCR lacks the «Revised 2007 Copyright © 2005» page. Possibly a different e-book release. Full text (djvu.txt) is available for comparison.
- Internet Archive — «Herb Of Immortality Donald Teeter» (2023)Another copy of the same 131-page version (linearised PDF /N 131, L 6568749, as in PDFy). EPUB and OCR text are available.
- Internet Archive — «Amanita Muscaria Herb Of Immortality Www Ambrosia Society» (2022)Byte-for-byte the same 134-page 2008 edition already held locally (7,154,204 bytes). No new content. The item description is third-party spam with inappropriate hashtags, so it should not be linked.
- psilosophy.info — two copies of the book: the original PDF and a 2021 retypeset «(psilosophy.info)» editionThe file psilosophy.info/resources/herbofimmortality.pdf is identical to the known one (7,154,204 bytes). Separately there is a 4.3 MB retypeset version marked «soma rights re-served since 19.12.2021»; its mirror is files.spiritmaji.com/books/mushrooms/amanita_muscaria_herb_of_immortality_donald_e_teeter.pdf. The psilosophy site blocks bots (cleantalk).

- Google Drive: «Copy of The Sacred Secret.pdf» (Teeter's 2001 book), linked from the Ambrosia House «Atheneum»A publicly accessible PDF of Teeter's first book «The Sacred Secret: The Return of the Christ» (~12 MB), apparently the only online copy. The «Atheneum» also links to «Herb of Immortality» and «The Stone of Our Philosophy», but those files are restricted (401). The book's rights are unclear (Xlibris, 2001), so it is not marked as freely downloadable.

- Tribe.net: «Don Teeter's Letter to Louisiana» — Teeter's letter to the governor of LouisianaFull text of Teeter's letter to the governor of Louisiana against bill HLS 05RS-52 banning Amanita muscaria (argument: First Amendment religious freedom). By the Society and its members
- tribe.net — the «Ambrosia Society» tribe (created 2006-03-20, moderator T Doe / Redbeard, Austin)The earliest online community of the Society, created before the 2007 website: 108 members and about 50 threads from 2006–2011, partly preserved in the Wayback Machine. It contains Teeter's texts, news of his experiments, photos of «Don Teeter's Wine» and announcements of events at Gardens of the Ancients. None of this is in the local backup.
- «Ambrosia Society.Org» — announcement of the site launch and a free e-book, with Teeter quoted on the missionThis dates the launch of ambrosiasociety.org and the free e-book (January 2008). It quotes Teeter on the Society's goal: sacred groves, vineyards, «Living Bread» bakeries and «Ambrosia Houses» in every country.
- tribe.net — «Resurrection Time-Lapse Video» and photos of «Don Teeter's Wine» (2006)The tribe's album has 14 photos, two of them «Don Teeter's Wine». The photo pages survive, but the images themselves (images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/…) are missing from the Wayback Machine. A 2007 post announces the time-lapse on YouTube (the known iTXNO7CAsc4).
- tribe.net — «Eeyore's After Party at Gardens of the Ancients» + gardensoftheancients.com/eeyores.htmAnnouncements of the annual night party after Eeyore's Birthday in Austin: the Society served Ambrosia for free in a 2-acre garden that housed the «Flower of Life Healing Ministries' church». - Original 2007 «Resurrection» time-lapse WMV file (resurrection1.wmv) on WaybackThe original WMV file of the «Resurrection» video from the Society's site. Wayback has two captures with status 200 (about 5.16–5.25 MB): /images/resurrection1.wmv and /original/images/resurrection1.wmv; a HEAD request confirmed it is served. The local backup has no .wmv, so the file can be taken from Wayback.
- Kunena forum category «Videos and Documentaries»: lost video threads (Wayback 403)CDX shows five threads in the video section: 150-wine, 220-an-eye-for-odin, 232-video-tutorial-for-making-ambrosia, 233-insight-the-true-origins-of-kwanzaa-hanukkah-christmas, 242-amanita-sightings… All were captured with code 403, so content is lost. Only the RSS abstract of thread 232 (Terry, 15.12.2015, with kj6d-UOeG24) survives in the local backup.
- Tribe.net: Ambrosia Society community main page (2006–2016)The Society's earliest online community: the tribe was created on 20.03.2006, moderated by Redbeard from Austin. It had 87 members in 2007 and 149 in 2012. Captures from 2007 and 2012 preserve a list of ~40 threads (2006–2012) and the 14-photo album «Don Teeter's Wine» (April 2006); the images themselves are not in Wayback.
- Tribe.net: «Wow!» — the tribe's founding post (T Doe), with a reply from Jan IrvinT Doe's first post: he worked with «ethnobotanist/mycologist/author» Donald E. Teeter and retells the idea of wine and «living bread» from mycelium. Jan Irvin («Astrotheology & Shamanism», gnosticmedia.com) comments on the book (22.04.2006), and beau mentions visiting Teeter and T Doe. The text was later quoted on the Entheogen Network.
- Tribe.net: «Updates on Interesting Experiments» — a «resurrection» time-lapse by Don and NeilA report on Teeter's experiments: culture on apple, orange and pineapple juice and on a whole grape bunch. It says «Don and Neil» had just made a time-lapse of a fly agaric stem's «resurrection». This is almost certainly the context of the known 2007 «Resurrection» video and a co-author named Neil.
- Tribe.net: «Ambrosia Society.Org» — free e-book announcement and a Teeter quoteAnnouncement of the launch of ambrosiasociety.org and the free e-book «Herb of Immortality» (January 2008). - Wayback: ambrosiasociety.org/files/herbofimmortality2.pdf (second file name of the book, 2011–2021)The file "herbofimmortality2.pdf" (about 7,072,075 bytes) is mentioned on Shroomery in 2012 and DMT-Nexus in 2018. It differs from the backup file by a few dozen bytes — worth checking whether it is a different edition. A "herbofimmortality.pdf" is also known (tumblr, 2011).
- The book's original PDFs on the Society's website in the Wayback Machine (2008–2016)The Society's own file (~7,072,000 bytes, digest EBBGTWSLV4…) is preserved in the Wayback Machine under four addresses (2009, 2011, 2016, 2016), all with identical content. Its size differs from the local copy (7,154,204 bytes), so the author's original should be saved. The 07.08.2008 snapshot (130 KB) is truncated.
- resurrection1.wmv — the original WMV file of the «Resurrection» video (2007) on the Society's websiteThe original file of the time-lapse video of Amanita muscaria resurrection (video/x-ms-wmv, about 5.16 MB, status 200). The local archive has no WMV at all — only the re-encoded YouTube version iTXNO7CAsc4. Both URLs share the digest ZVHJZXMA…, so it is the same file.
- ambrosiasociety.org home page, November 2012: notice of Teeter's death (Terry Arnett, Jr.)A version of the home page addressed "Dear friends": founder Donald E. Teeter died on 29.10.2012 after several weeks of heart complications. The family blessed continuing the site; an all-day memorial at Gardens of the Ancients on 5.11.2012. - Wikipedia “Amanita muscaria”: RedBeardAmbrosia's link (2008), removed in 2009 as a “link with trojan”The RedBeardAmbrosia account was created 29.10.2008 at 22:15 UTC; six minutes later it added “Donald E. The Society's site was then flagged as infected.
About Teeter and the Society
- tribe.net — «Updates on Interesting Experiments» (Teeter's experiments, time-lapse with Neil)An eyewitness writes that Teeter grew «fleece» on apple, orange and pineapple juice and on grape grain. He and Neil had just filmed a time-lapse of a stem's «resurrection» — this is the 2007 video (iTXNO7CAsc4).
- tribe.net — «Wow!» (T Doe's founding post, 2006, and reply from Jan Irvin / Gnostic Media)The tribe's founder says he worked with Teeter personally and «talks to him regularly». On 2006-04-22 Jan Irvin (Gnostic Media, «Astrotheology & Shamanism») writes that he read Teeter's book and asks where to get «Herb of Immortality». The first documented link between Teeter and Gnostic Media; no Gnostic Media interview has been found.
- tribe.net — «Preparing Amanita Muscaria» (book sold only via Herbs & Sacraments; bread baked by Don)This shows the history of the 2006 print edition: the book was sold by herbsandsacraments.com «straight from the author», with no publisher. There are everyday details too: Teeter baked «Amanita sweetbread» at 300°F.
- tribe.net — «[Amanita_muscaria] Black Spore» and «Reductionism» (Vince / Doc Kunda; Teeter on mycelium ID)Teeter's closest associate defends his method against the Mucor theory. It includes a direct quote from Teeter on the «polymorphic» mycelium of basidiomycetes. It also says Teeter was a member of the Amanita_muscaria Yahoo group run by Doc Kunda.
- Entheogen.com thread t=7784 «An new take on amanita growth.» (2006–2008, 25 pages; Peele vs Teeter debate)The main public dispute over the «Teeter culture». Peele considered the culture a black-spored Mucor, quoted pages 38 and 51 of the book and cited an analysis that had been carried out. Individual pages survive in the Wayback Machine, including 1 and 19.
- Entheogen Network (successor to Edot) — viewtopic.php?f=31&t=7417 (48 pages)A migrated version of the same thread (about 470 posts). The Wayback Machine has pages start=10…40 and 430…470, plus individual posts p=59429–59889. It may contain other posts in Teeter's name; not fully read.
- dockunda.com — sales site of the 2006 print «Herb of Immortality» + Amanita_muscaria Yahoo groupThe print edition's site before the e-book: the book for $22 (or bundled with dried fly agaric), a review and a blurb («part autobiographical»). The 27-chapter contents show the 2006 edition lacks «Alchemy and Hermeticism», added in the 2007 revision. Also a recommended reading list and a description of the Amanita_muscaria Yahoo group. Useful for the book's revision history.
- Erowid Library — «Natural Magic: Recreating the Grail» (Donald E. Teeter, 2002, 26 pp., pamphlet)Confirms the existence of Teeter's third work: a 26-page pamphlet from 2002 (pb, 1st). Erowid holds it in its library and quotes the back-cover text. Erowid's review is sceptical («results in the growth of mold»). There is a short «About the author» paragraph.

The channel has several more videos on Amanita in religions.
- Amanita Research Forum — «The Ambrosia Society» subforum (incl. t=35 «The Ambrosia Society's Fleece»)A dedicated subforum on Teeter's legacy. SomaSig writes «I was very active with Don, it was a great loss, and his leaving really took its toll on the society», and that Gardens of the Ancients also closed. It points to the Yahoo Groups mailing list as another venue of discussion (the group itself has not survived).
- tribe.net «The Pharmacratic Inquisition»: Jan Irvin as a tribe memberDiscussion of the film «The Pharmacratic Inquisition». Redbeard writes that «Don and I» want to send Teeter's book to its makers; another member notes that Jan Irvin (Gnostic Media) is already in the tribe. This explains the Gnostic Media link on the old site. In 2009 Jan_Irvin himself announced the 40th anniversary of «The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross» in the tribe.
- tribe.net «Hi everyone - my wine experiment» (Roker; Stephen Peele's lab test)A New Zealander repeats the wine recipe. Redbeard describes «a long and sometimes ugly battle with mycologists». Mycologist Stephen Peele sent samples to a lab in the Netherlands for GC and DNA analysis. A key source on the attempt to verify the «fleece» scientifically.
- Mycotopia: «New take on Amanita growth» (Stephen L. Peele, 163 replies, 9 pages)A large critical thread: Peele was preparing an article for TEO magazine No. 17 about Teeter's claims of growing the culture on grape juice and considered it Mucor. It quotes T-doe's manifesto from tribe.net, including the phrase «The Ambrosia Society is what I'm going to call it» (March 2006). The live site is blocked by Cloudflare; Wayback has a copy of page 1.
- The Entheogen Network: «A new take on amanita growth» (t=7417, ~477 posts, 2006–2009+)The longest dispute about the «fleece»: Peele argues that the culture produces black spores and is Mucor; Rawkcuf defends Teeter. There is a link to Don's post on the Society's forum (f=4&t=155), which is not in the backup. According to Rawkcuf, the Society does not sell mushrooms but gets them from Gardens of the Ancients, and has abandoned A. pantherina. Wayback has pages 1–5 and 44–48.

- DMT-Nexus «Amanita Muscaria - Holy Grail Method tek» (t=67932): visiting GOTA after Teeter's deathImportant for the post-2012 history: travsha visited Gardens of the Ancients, where people connected with the Society work. The main member was absent; the staff said they now mostly make wine rather than «grail ambrosia». The «grail» (8–12 h) and «Sacred Wine» (1–2 months) recipes are compared, with a link to the video kj6d-UOeG24.

- Amanita Research Forum t=34: post by «SomaSig», a former active member (Dec 2021)Testimony of a former member: «I was very active with Don»; after Teeter's death the Society «withered», and by the end of 2021 the site and Gardens of the Ancients were not operating. SomaSig links to his successor site theambrosiahouse.weebly.com. Mcpato (July 2020) notes that ambrosiasociety.org is down.

Teeter, 2002, 26 pp)A catalogue entry for Teeter's second book, a 26-page 2002 booklet on growing mycelium in a clay vessel («Magic Grail»). The back-cover text and author bio are given. Erowid's review is sceptical: it is probably mould. The booklet itself has not been found online.
- Goodreads: «Amanita Muscaria, Herb of Immortality» (Teeter's blurb and 10 reviews)The blurb is Teeter's address («more than 37 years researching... Others: “pee test question??” (awake, 2007–08), “Medicinal Virtues of Wine” (Drifter, 21.08.2007), “so, how is the wine made?” (bob, 12.07.2006). No replies from Teeter.
- Mike Marinacci, “Psychedelic Cults and Outlaw Churches” (2023): Society shared an address with Serenity HerbalThe book is already known, but page PT359 adds a detail: until recently the Society shared a physical address with the Austin shop Serenity Herbal. The shop was formerly called “Garden of the Ancient Apothecary and Gift Shop” (i.e. Gardens of the Ancients) and sold herbs, cacti, seeds and tinctures. The entry starts on PT356.
- YouTube comments under Garrett Kopp's “Making sacred wine from Amanita muscaria”: ex-worker nrsrchd, othersComments (211 total) not yet in the registry. nrsrchd: Teeter was his mentor and never heated the wine above 160°F; he worked where the wine was made, and it is no longer produced. Amanita Dreamer: “science” about the moldy fleece caused the “fracture of the Ambrosia Society”. deathmedicaldave: contacted members via the Society forum; the fleece was tested. Also “Tajen from the ambrosia society”.
- FungusWhisperer's comment on “Amanita Muscaria Resurrection”: claimed ITS DNA test of “grail” culturesThe commenter retells that a follower of a “one-man 'Teeter ministry'” gave a PhD mycologist “grail” culture samples; by microscopy and ITS DNA analysis the culture reportedly proved mixed, not pure fly agaric. Full text at archive.is/9QUNc. Critical evidence in the fleece dispute. Nearby, andrewdunton8596 grew a culture himself for $60 and concluded it was Mucor.
- archive.is/9QUNc: archive.today capture cited as the source of the “Teeter ministry” grail-fungus DNA accountAn archive.today capture that FungusWhisperer's comment cites as the source of the account of DNA analysis of Teeter-linked “grail” cultures. - YouTube comments under “How to make Ambrosia” (Ambrosia Society, 2015): ex-worker nrsrchd, BenZedrinComments (284) adding to the kj6d-UOeG24 entry. nrsrchd: “RIP Dave and Don” (Dave Schanzle and Teeter); the Society closed, the fleece proved a mucoid fungus, the wine was never analyzed; process: pasteurizing, fly agaric powder, 170°F, hot jars. BenZedrin: Pastor David (SMCS) showed him the method; Jochen Gartz deemed the fleece a “Mud-Mushroom”. Teeter died in 2012 (born 1956, per his Xlibris biography).

- Gardens of the Ancients «Holistic Links» (2009): GOTA as gift shop of Flower of Life Healing MinistriesGOTA describes itself as the «Gift Shop for Flower of Life Healing Ministries» and recommends the Ambrosia Society, reproducing its creed. Important for the organisational link: the shop, the church (Ministries) and the Society on one property (4800 Yager Lane).
- Gardens of the Ancients «Flower of Life Kratom Society Membership Application»A membership application for the «Flower of Life Kratom Society» on the GOTA site. Its wording («Natural person 18 or more years», «I claim ... as my Sacrament», «do no harm») closely resembles the Ambrosia Society membership model, probably a related association from the same circle. Teeter is not mentioned directly.
- herbsandsacraments.com: print «Amanita Muscaria; Herb of Immortality» ($25) and Amanita muscaria (2007)The Austin (area code 512) online shop «Herbs and Sacraments» sold the print «Herb of Immortality» for $25 in 2007, before the free e-book (2008), as well as Amanita muscaria. Evidence of the paid print edition a tribe member wrote about («couldn't buy Teeter's book»). Possibly connected with GOTA or Don's workplace, but this is not proven.
- dokumen.pub: «Amanita muscaria Herb of immortality l'herbe d'immortalité» (bilingual EN/FR?)The title suggests a French or bilingual version («l'herbe d'immortalité»), i.e. a possible French translation. - Polish blog «Święty Grzybóg»: practical information on Amanita muscaria (cites Teeter)A Polish article cites the drying recipe «according to D. E. Teeter» («za D. E. Teeterem») and pasteurised grape juice («Wino Galilejskie»). Bibliography: «Teeter E. Donald, Amanita Muscaria; Herb of Immortality, Ambrosia Society, 2007». An example of spread in Eastern Europe.
- MN Nice Ethnobotanicals blog: «The Ambrosia Society, The Fleece, and Living Bread»A commercial blog of a fly agaric seller with a generic, probably generated text about the Society's beliefs (the Golden Fleece, manna). It adds little factually; the shop is currently unavailable (423).
- SMCS forum (Sacred Mushroom Cherishing Society, Switzerland, «Pastor David»): Ambrosia subforumsThe Swiss «mushroom church» SMCS (Pastor David). Its forum has English subforums «Growing the fleece», «Making the ambrosia society», «The Holy Grail», «Christ's Blood», «Christ's flesh»; German sections cover growing fly agaric mycelium. European followers of Teeter's method; probably the «Pastor David» asked about.

The concept fully mirrors Teeter's, though his name does not appear on the retrieved pages. It later moved to tupg.org/mhg.
- ShroomSpy guide: claim attributed to «a 2005 self-published booklet by Donald Teeter»A modern guide attributes to «Teeter's 2005 self-published booklet» the myth that carbonation turns muscimol back into ibotenic acid. Unverified (search snippet only), but it shows how Teeter's ideas live on in current discourse.
- KORY KORTIS channel: full listing of 147 videos — other Austin Access TV episodes mentioning AmanitaMetadata of all 147 channel videos was reviewed. Teeter is named directly only in 88kvCeQ5WD8. - Act No. 159 (2005), HB 20 Enrolled — enacts R.S. 40:989.1 on hallucinogenic plantsFinal text: 2–10 years and up to $20,000 for production or distribution; up to 5 years and $5,000 for possessing «material intended for human consumption» from any of 39 plants or fungi (Amanita muscaria among them). Exceptions: ornamental growing and homeopathy. So Teeter inaccurately described the law as «criminalising possession of Amanita».
- HB 20 — House Committee Amendment #1859, Digests, Summary of Senate Amendments, Résumé Digest (Act 159)Committee amendments (a correction of the misspelled name «Lagoehilus inebrians», a definition of «homeopathic drug», exception E for homeopathy) and digests d=288593, d=303126, d=311033 plus résumé d=320327 with the effective date 15.08.2005. Teeter later made the same argument in his letter to the governor.
- Richard Glen Boire, «Brief Analysis of Louisiana HB 20» (letter to CCLE, May 17, 2005)A legal analysis of HB 20: a 2-year mandatory minimum, a blow to herbal medicine, and above all the bill «does not protect at all» religious use by Native Americans and others, so it probably violates the Free Exercise Clause. Cited in The Entheogen Review 2005 (Boire, p. 124).

- Gardens of the Ancients: first CitySearch-built site (2002), “herb nursery”, 4800 Yager Ln, Manor TX 78653Earliest archived GOTA site (February 2002): a nursery and herb shop in northeast Austin, 4800 Yager Ln, Manor, TX 78653, phone (512) 272-9062; over 200 dried herbs, tinctures, oils. A map.htm page gives detailed directions. It shows GOTA before the Society appeared (2006), at the place where its events were later held.
- Gardens of the Ancients: 2009–2010 “Natural Medicine” and “Find Us” pages list “Amanita muscaria”GOTA contact page (June 2009): hours, address 4800 Yager Ln, Manor, and the product list “Kratom, Amanita muscaria, crystals…”. findus.htm and holistic.htm (2009–2010) give directions from Austin, Manor, Elgin and Bastrop. So GOTA sold Amanita muscaria in the Society's heyday; CDX also has an empty Amanitas.htm (2010, “under construction”).
- Gardens of the Ancients: Kratom page (2010), on-site lab, liquid kratom extract, EntheoFarmA 2010 page on kratom strains and a “Liquid Kratom Extract” made for over four years (i.e. since about 2006) by the “on-site lab at Gardens of the Ancients”. - Gardens of the Ancients: 2014 contacts, 4800 Yager Ln, Manor, “Kratom, Amanita muscaria…”Contact page from October 2014, two years after Teeter's death: GOTA still operates at 4800 Yager Ln, Manor, TX 78653 and sells Amanita muscaria. This is the shop's last known Yager Lane address before the move to Manchaca.
- Gardens of the Ancients: current Shopify site, “Austin's family herbalists since 2000”, Manchaca TXThe live GOTA site (2024–2026) presents itself as a family herbal apothecary and nursery in Manchaca, south of Austin, “since 2000”, with the ® mark. It says nothing about the Society or Teeter. The same family continues the business, but with no link to the Ambrosia Society.
- Flashback Forum: “Varför är det ingen som käkar flugsvamp?”, posts #135 and #147 (May 2012)Swedish user oggestaden (07.05.2012) recommends Donald E. Teeter's “Amanita Muscaria; herb of immortality” as a source on fly agarics and making the “wine”, noting the PDF is online. emigrant (09.05.2012, p37268686) thanks him and plans to pick mushrooms. Evidence of the book spreading in Sweden, with no contact with Teeter.
- Flashback Forum: “Vart ligger logiken i ett fortsatt drogförbud?”, Teeter and the Indo-Europeans (2015)In a debate on drug prohibition, studentroland (21.02.2015) cites an “interesting book” by Donald Teeter on fly agaric. He retells Teeter's thesis that fly agaric use in Scandinavia is ancient but was forgotten through Christianization, and that the mushroom is tied to Indo-European culture. A mention of the book's ideas, not the method.
- Flashback Forum: “Hur tar ni eran flugsvamp?”, link to herbofimmortality.pdf (October 2019)Partiet-Svamparna (18.10.2019) links a PDF copy of “Amanita Muscaria, Herb Of Immortality” on the-eye.eu (herbofimmortality.pdf) along with his own drying instructions; 1.2.7 quotes the post on 19.10.2019. The same user mentions the book in the thread “Att Arrangera Festival 2020” (p69039368). Another mirror of the book, with no contact with the author.
- Bluelight: “The Big Dandy Amanita Mushrooms Thread”, DwayneHoover quotes the Society's tribe (27.08.2010)In a large Bluelight thread (27 pages), DwayneHoover (post 8715381, 27.08.2010) links the Ambrosia Society tribe and quotes in full a reply from the “Ibotenic/Muscimol Conversion” thread (23.08.2007). There are no other mentions of Teeter, grape juice or the Society. His 2008 post on p8 copies James Arthur's recipe, not Teeter's.
- Psychonaut.com (psychonaut.fr archive): “Psychoactive amanitas”, DeepTurtle on Teeter's free treatise (2008)DeepTurtle (08.02.2008) writes that Donald Teeter's free “treatise” changed his view of fly agaric and links “Bread of Life” at ambrosiasociety.org/download.html (already in the backup). Post 73605 (18.03.2008) holds his trip report “Weekend with Washington State Amanita” from 23.02.2008. Early evidence of the Society's e-book spreading; no contact with Teeter.
- Psychonaut.com (psychonaut.fr archive): “The sun has stopped !”, book PDF, Resurrection video, “Amanita wine”Ahuaeynjxs links ambrosiasociety.org/files/herbofimmortality.pdf. Caduceus Mercurius (06.01.2009) reads the book and named his shop Ambrosia unaware of the Society; on 07.01.2009 he recommends the “Amanita resurrection time lapse” video, on 02.02.2009 finishes his “Amanita wine” and plans “Ambrosia”. Ahuaeynjxs describes black mycelium. Trials from the book, no contact.
- Psychonaut.com (psychonaut.fr archive): “natural versus synthetic dissociatives and entheogens” (2009)Caduceus Mercurius (post-147080, 25.01.2009) kept 20 g of dried fly agarics in grape juice (two rinses, a 500 ml bottle) and drank diluted doses. Ahuaeynjxs (post-147076) calls diluted fly agaric mycelium “blood” in juice “soma”, Teeter's terminology. On 20.01.2009 Caduceus praises “the Amanita text by the Ambrosia Society”. Practical uptake of the method.
- Psychonaut.com (psychonaut.fr archive): “Culti enteogenici contemporanei”, Ambrosia Society entry (2011)An Italian survey of contemporary entheogenic cults (sd&m, 14.01.2011). Alongside the Native American Church, the Sacred Mushroom Church of Switzerland and others is a short entry on the Ambrosia Society: a group devoted to “rediscovering the Holy Grail”, which it identifies with Amanita muscaria, holding that the mushroom had hundreds of divine names.
- Psychonaut.com (psychonaut.fr archive): “Amanita Muscaria and Fly Agaric Mushroom Resources” (2017)A fly agaric resource roundup the author copied from his own blog. Among the main sources it lists “Home - Ambrosia Society - AmbrosiaSociety.org” and the link http://www.ambrosiasociety.org/files/herbofimmortality2.pdf.
- Drugs-Forum: “Growing Amanita” (t=288832, September 2016)Arctophylax (20.09.2016) suggests growing fly agaric mycelium on grain and baking “Holy Bread”; PowerfulMedicine replies that a fly agaric culture in grape juice actually yields Mucor, not A. muscaria. Teeter is not named, but the discussion concerns his “living bread” and wine methods. An indirect mention.
- Wikipedia “Soma (drink)”: history of the paragraph on Teeter (added 04.04.2011, removed 04.09.2016)The paragraph on “Amanita Muscaria; Herb of Immortality” was added 04.04.2011 by an anonymous IP 66.188.253.72 (rev 422238587). Ms Sarah Welch removed it 04.09.2016 (rev 737694229) as “unsourced and undue”, with a {{refimprove}} tag pending since 2014. No Talk discussion. The citation gives “4800 Yager Lane, Manor, Texas 78653”, publisher Ambrosia Society, 2005 and 2007.
- Wikipedia Reference desk/Humanities (29.08.2016): “the amanita-based Ambrosia Society” mentionIn the thread “Christian Amita Society (?)” a user jokingly mentions “the amanita-based Ambrosia Society” and links http://ambrosiasociety.org. This is the only current external link to ambrosiasociety.org on English Wikipedia (per exturlusage). It has almost no substantive value.
- Deborah M. Coulter-Harris, “Chasing Immortality in World Religions” (McFarland, 2016), bibliography p. 200An academic monograph in religious studies; its bibliography lists “Teeter, Donald E. Amanita Muscaria; Herb of Immortality. The Ambrosia Society, 2007”. Another book citation of Teeter not yet on the list of findings. Its place in the main text was not pinned down because Google blocked access.
- Jerry B. Brown & Julie M. Brown, “The Psychedelic Gospels” (2016): citation of Teeter's bookConfirmed that the book cites Teeter. Bibliography entry: “Teeter, Donald T. [sic] Amanita Muscaria: Herb of Immortality. Manor, Tex.: Ambrosia Society, 2007. www.ambrosiasociety.org/download.html. Accessed September 30, 2015”. So download.html was still being read in autumn 2015. No mention in the main text was found: in-book search failed.
