RedbeardWow!

This is an incredible turnout for a tribe that's been live for only 11 hours. I'm really excited :)

I created this tribe after having the unique opportunity of working with ethnobotaist/mycologist/author Donald E. Teeter. He's been studying the Amanita for many years. Through extensive research and experiments, Mr. Teeter has uncovered the lost knowledge and ancient alchemy of Amanita Muscaria, also known as "Soma" and 107 other Sanskrit names.

It has been a myth for about a hundred years or so (since the beginning of mycology), that one cannot grow or cultivate Amanita Muscaria. We now know that this is inaccurate. Mushrooms are the fruit of the fungus, whereas it's mycelium would be considered it's root system and actual "plant" one might say. Mr. Teeter has found it possible, in fact anyone can do it, to regrow the mycelium. With this mycelium, you can grow it in grape juice, or on barley grains, which will end up being chock-full of ibotenic acid. Ibotenic acid is found in fresh AM specimens. When dried, the Ibotenic Acid decarboxylizes into Muscimol, the psychoactive constituent of AM. Ibotenic Acid that you grow in grape juice, or whichever medium you choose, can be heated to convert it into Muscimol. You are now left with Muscimol Juice, that tastes great, and gives some of the most curious and fascinating experiences. The experience can be as mild as cannabis, or could become psychadelic, depending upon the potency and how much you drink. I forgot to mention, that when grown on barley grains, you can then make bread out of it. Since the mycelium grows larger in the grape juice and barley grains, you then can take that mycelium to innoculate more juice or grains, and can continue to do this over and over. This is why the ancients called it the The Immortal God.

Now, this has raised a great debate and question about Jesus and Christ. It is obvious to me, that this is how Jesus made The Living Bread, capable of making thousands of loaves of bread. It also makes sense how one could turn water into wine.

In Donald E. Teeter's book: "Amanita Muscaria; Herb of Immortality", the author explores these matters. Giving many examples, references, and almost un-deniable theories about every major religion.

If we are all sparks of The Divine, how can one be seperated as "The Annointed One"? Why did Jesus speak of The Christ in third person? In my opinion, if we are all emanations of God, the only true "prophets" (God on Earth) are sacraments.

These are subjects that I am ecstatic about exploring with all of you. This ancient knowledge goes much deeper than I can post on one thread. I hope to help everyone create their own Holy Grail, Amanita Wine, Soma, and gain input from everyone in an open discussion.

Like I said, this is a basic intro. I would love to hear what everyone else knows about amanitas.

Namaste.

Kaqu...Re: Wow!

Its a perfect oppertunity to say hi!!! to everyone on the ambrosia society.

If i think abut what i know abut amanita muscaria i figure its not much as i want to, i have been trying it 3 times in the past and only in the last exp. the divine spirit did let me in.

im realy into figurring out what made past generations so numb to this unique force? or as it is now - why the western culture are so afraid from this connection to the hyper area of the mind & body. meantime people are doing marvelouse with the creative & the inventive skills which comes naturaly without being introduced to the divine...... an oversoul connection!

we are facing a new era that will give folks comperhantion in this birthright relationship to our source oversouls in between plants, amimals, nature & earth.

i see in this discovery a massive push to this era. and like meny of my freinds in here (Is) im egging to sent a true massege to the fresh minds..... so i will !!

i wish we could go into the preperation methods in details and time and exp will bring us to spread red and white enttitis all thru the holy land instead of guns & explosives!!

Nice one T & D !!

Love & sun ray's.

As one who writes and researches in this field, I found Donald Teeter's proposals fascinating, but I have yet to attempt the Mycelia experiment. I actually finished reading that book last week.

Problem with your above post:

"Now, this has raised a great debate and question about Jesus and Christ. It is obvious to me, that this is how Jesus made The Living Bread, capable of making thousands of loaves of bread. It also makes sense how one could turn water into wine. "

Teeter is explicitly clear in his book, as we are in our book Astrotheology & Shamanism, that Jesus Christ is an anthropomorphism of the Amanita muscaria, NOT a historical figure. This concept that Teeter, like us, argues by a series of deductions arrives at the same conclusion as John Allegro in the Sacred Mushroom and the Cross, 1970 – that Jesus was never real, and was the mushroom. We also argue in our book that Jesus is simultaneously an anthropomorphism of the sun.

See our video at: www.pharmacratic-inquisition.com

The growing consensus is that Jesus as a man never existed at all and was a creation out of the ancient mythos of many more ancient cultures.

I have not been able to find his other book: Amanita Muscaria; Herb of Immortality. Where may I find a copy?

beauRe: Wow!

thanks for sharing this Jan!

I'm new to the AM spirit myself. but I've been lucky enough to spend some time with both T Doe and Mr. Teeter and... thanks to them... I am now in the process of brewing my first batch of wine!

I'm very interested in learning more about the relationship between this wonderful medicine and the "being"(?) we know as Jesus... but I'm sitting out side on someone elses wireless connection and my battery is about to die... so it will have to wait until tomorrow!

Just thought I would pass this along to ya in case you didnt find it in other posts here...

www.herbsandsacraments.com/cgi-...p.cgi

I'm also interested in some of the other literature you mentioned... perhaps T Doe and I could help you resell some of this... if your interested just drop either one of us a line and we'll get something set up for ya!

thanks again everyone for this most valuable space!

much love

KenRe: Wow!

I'm very intrigued by the idea of growing the A. Muscaria mycelium as a liquid culture, but the fear I have is that it might turn out to be some random mold rather than A. Muscaria. Has anybody found a way to be sure that this is really A. Muscaria?

RedbeardRe: Wow!

I've had the mushrooms, I've had the wine. There is no doubt in my mind that I'm regrowing AM. If in doubt, grow the wine or the bread, drink it or eat it, then you'll know.

As for the Jesus debate, I'm really not sure what to say. I talk to Mr. Teeter regularly, and we've discussed Jesus AND Christ many times. Whether the man existed or not is not of great importance, to me anyway. What is important to me is the fact that CHRIST was not a man, i.e. Jesus. Anyway, I was just making a point of how the bible states that thousands of loaves of bread were made, and wine was made from water, which brings us to AM.

Anyhow, as far as I'm concerned, Jesus could have existed and preached about AM. It might be a mystery for a long time, but what's more important, the message or the man?

markRe: Wow!

T,

New here. Great group. Great subject.

Could you briefly describe the main difference(s) between the teeter wine and the mushrooms? I would hope the main difference would regard muscarine content. IMO, muscarine is the most toxic component of Amanita muscaria. The symptoms of muscarine ingestion include sweating, shivering, salivating, lacrimation, blurred-vision (temporary nearsightedness), nausea, and general dysphoria – very unpleasant. IMO, any formulae that claims vast improvement over the mushroom would HAVE to include a vast reduction of its main toxin. Muscarine is quite heat-stable and is present in the carpophore, no matter whether it is fresh, dried or cooked. The content varies widely, but I’ve never ran across any specimens that were completely absent. I do not know whether muscarine is present in the mycelium/mycorrhizae.

Regarding the importance of the jesus issue (historical man, or personification/deification of mushroom), I can look at it your way. But I prefer to claim that the difference IS significant, because the message is contained in the difference. If we take out the man/god, the message becomes VERY different. It becomes much clearer. It becomes much more logical. Essentially, it IS the scientific explanation for major religion. It makes fools of religious warriors who fought/fight over different beliefs because their main god/sacrament was originally the same. Besides, what are the chances that a man existed with features of a muscaria mushroom? I really don’t think it makes much sense to hold on to both theories at once. Considering the evidence for the muscaria theory, the man theory naturally falls apart; holding on to it seems to only be a sentimental remnant of our past programming.

Thanks,

mark

markRe: Wow!

I realize there is not a huge membership here, but all I can conclude from the lack of response to my question about the difference between Teeter’s wine and regular mushroom tea (see below) is that there is very little if any qualitative difference. I have asked the question more than just here, and I never get a response. I must assume in this case, silence would mean "no difference".

RedbeardRe: Wow!

I apologize in the delayof response, Mark. To answer your question: yes! There is a huge difference, assuming when you say amanita tea, you mean hetin up the powdered mushroom and drinking it. When drinking the wine, you are drinking straight muscimol. There are no ill effects including those you would receive from muscarine, ie.: sweating, salavating.

The wine is a whole new experience. Feelings of euphoria and bliss, with no ill side effects whatsoever. He who drinkth the Soma, will only open his crown to God and speak directly with God. The wine is very different. It can be as subtle as canabis, or as strong as a light psilly dose. Everyone I know who has tried the wine has had nothing but great things to say about it. I have lots of people asking me how much I would sell them a bottle for, although I refuse to sell it, people have offered me anywhere from $20-75 for just a bottle. It's not only because it's an amazing drink with effects unlike any other entheogen or chemical that you've ever tried in your life, but because everyone who has drank the wine, wants to be able to share it with others and let others experience its beautiful qualities.

Namaste.

beauRe: Wow!

I can't say with any certainty whether muscarine is present in the wine or bread... although I can say that none of the ill effects from a normal amanita dose have been evident in my experiences with the wine. of course the "no carbonated beverages" rule still seems to apply (as CO2 will naturally rebind with muscimol to create ibotenic acid) I have never felt the symptoms of muscarine poisoning that I normally got from eating strait AM with any of the products of the mycelium. Actually... I rarely take AM strait anymore, choosing instead to stick with the much more enjoyable wine.

I'm no chemist, botanist or mycologist ...but from my limited experiences with AM - the wine is definitely the way to go (or the bread... not quite as easy to produce but soooo good!)

markRe: Wow!

T doe,

Thank you for the reply. Now we are finally getting somewhere. Do you realize that ever since Teeter’s book has come out and these forums got started (at least two others), no one has yet stated that directly, AFAIK? No one has directly explained that Teeter’s formula is far superior in quality than the straight mushroom products. I, of all people, realize the significance of this. For “heaven’s” sake, if you want people to buy the book(s), for “god’s” sakes make it clear why! Tell them this! Now that I have heard this, I am now immediately going to buy the book. What had previously come across to me was that the only reason one might want to mess with the formula is so one would not have to acquire any quantity of mushrooms. That’s minor. The whole point has been to discover the second secret: the secret of processing. To conquer the toxic component; to tame the dragon. The final mystery has always been in the processing. The successful process is the missing link for the proof of the theories. If what you say is true, few who experience the formula will doubt the evidentiary clues left by the ancients. If the muscarine has truly been neutralized, and the interesting metabolites emphasized, this is the first time in hundreds of years that any good formulas (there are probably many more to come) have been publicized; and the first time ever in the history of recorded civilization that a good formula has been publicized openly, directly and scientifically. I’m sure none of us, including me, are fully aware of the full (world-changing) significance if this turns out to be true. I have been looking for this for a long time and always knew it had something to do with fermentation. I may be getting ahead of myself, being the doubting Thomas that I am, but the report sounds great. I will check it out for myself now.

beauRe: Wow!

to Ken's question...

"Has anybody found a way to be sure that this is really A. Muscaria?"

the smell... it's all about the smell!

first it's important to note that AM naturally does a good job of suppressing other possible contaminates which might compete for it's food source. but the one sure fire way I've found to detect such contaminates should they find their way in is to use the ol' nosehose... the AM fungus has a soft and slightly sweet fragrance (almost the same smell you would recognize from the dried AM fruit itself) if any contaminates are present you might end up with a pungent sour or vinegar smell. after some experience with the process of growing this fungus you will get a sense for what is and what is not AM mycelium.

when in doubt... the nose knows!

RedbeardRe: Wow!

Mark, I couldn't agree with you more. You are correct (I believe). The AM is the true sacrament which has been kept secret for a long time, just waiting for people to de-code it. It obviously was waiting until now... now, so that it can be a catalyst in the evolution of consciousness. It is much more than a new method for processing an entheogen. It is so much more profound than any of us know right now.

Namaste.

Yes, I remember that thread. Stephen Peele has yet to prove Don wrong. You did read the whole post, right?

I understand people are sceptical (AS THEY DAMN WELL SHOULD BE), but until you try it for yourself, you'll never know.

Sorry you're missing out on an incredible, magical experience...
